Fork is one of the best restaurants in the Lake Norman area. The food is, in my opinion, better than rival Kindred – Fork just seems to get less publicity than Kindred. Fork is a sweet and cozy restaurant – tucked away in an old Victorian home. I love the atmosphere as every time we eat here we never know which room we will be sat in. My favorite spot is of course their wrap around porch – when the weather is right – this is the most romantic place to eat!
The food is incredible. The menu changes daily as fresh ingredients and sauces are made. The only downfall to this is when you discover a new favorite food, you sometimes have to wait awhile for it to cycle back on the menu. Luckily the owner and chef check their Facebook page quite frequently and accommodate special requests sometimes!
Some of my favorites from the fixed dinner menu are the Spicy Chicken Spring rolls (not too spicy) ($6), Scallops ($20), Parmesan Fries ($5) and the Goat Cheese Mac and Cheese ($6).
The seasonal dessert of Chocolate Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich is amazing. The dish is flour-less and served with nut ale sauce and caramel popcorn. A seemingly odd combination with the popcorn but the popcorn makes the dish!
